The Next Big Thing
Pending chronic Archandroid , 1st album Janelle Monae studio. It is with pleasure that I offer a review of his first EP Metropolis: The Chase Suite . EP released in 2008 after a remarkable performance on the soundtrack of Idlewid in 2006. Monae before seems you heard his horde of new fans eager to hear on a solo project.
Quickly drafted and signed to Bad Boy by opportunistic and "talented" P. Diddy , Monae on The Chase Suite 7 tracks produced the opposite effect with his EP. Instead of me waited quietly until the release of Archandroid, the opus was the gift to make me totally addicted to the sound of this native of Kansas. Hearing a real cocaine, which gives a blow to the radical old bimbos of GNI.
Admittedly, Janelle hits hard from the start. Rnb both mature tonic and extravagant. The amateur listener groove that I became totally hooked. Blame it sounds a dynamic efficiencies rare for a simple sketch, attests hovering titles like "Violet Stars Happy Hunting " or " Many Moons." Clearly, Metropolis: The Chase Suite a brief flurry of Bangers both futuristic and retro, which however ends softly with two pieces on a theme: "Sincerely Jane " and its pseudo-reflection on our individualistic society and a "Smile "bringing a touch of hope to all.
Miser EP title like any worthy of the name, Janelle Monae is offered us an excellent foretaste of Archandroid. Dangerously addictive by his impeccable groove, she laid the groundwork in 2008 for his upcoming album almost classic today.
