Reims Congress opens a new era that may be the best of all possible. Socialist Party women have specific expectations of this conference. Especially that of being recognized as full members of their party.

We must address this problem here and now and not content ourselves again, as in our previous conventions, paint a panorama of Zola's treatment of women in different spheres of society.

What good is it if we have no room for political action? The urgency is to resolve once and for all the question of the rightful place of women within the Socialist Party of parity in our forums.

Then and only then, we have the means to do for women and with them what we say, and with them we commit to change.

Because, as citizens, the law of the Republic has made equal to men in rights and duties,

Because we are neither more nor less than them, neither better nor worse, but still half of humanity,

Because we are "socialists and feminists therefore,

Because we are just as attaché to the European our country

Because we are political activists, trade unionists, associative,

Because doing politics, for us, is to exercise the responsibility s political

Because we work, earn our lives, take our share of domestic responsibilities, care and education of our children, care for our parents,

Because we contribute to the economic and cultural wealth of our country,

Because we take the same weight of collective responsibility as men in the choices made,

Because we acquired the same skills, intellectual and professional, we have the same ability to grow, and we know as well as they adapt to new tasks and new tools,

Because we give time for our party and this until the end of our lives,

Reims Congress must put an end to these proceedings from another age, these semblances of democracy, if our party wants to be that of the future.
