It is always a thrill as I suspected see the word charity associated with the word business, which polling before the hangs of the last supplement Review: Charity.

By definition of charity is it not Virtue that is in the love of God and neighbor, but also in the fact of giving alms to the poor by giving pure pleasure in the anonymity? However

philanthropy and social responsibility bind more often to the words tax benefits, visibility, gain image.

Taxation
When I read that the Swiss tax system in international comparison is unfavorable to the field of philanthropy, I wonder the generous donors. It does no longer a part of his fortune out of pure charity, but to pay less taxes? For these purposes in Switzerland, individuals can deduct 20% of average income and legal persons between 10 and 20% of their profits, sponsorship and any other expenses that may be associated with being considered for commercial payload, thus entirely deductible.

For businesses, I ask myself the question of their role in society: philanthropy and economic growth? Corporate profits have to be used for donations to supplement the role of State? Should they not instead be used for continuing education, investment, job creation, growth and preservation of the environment? Défiscalisant in donations, the state discourages Does not the diversion of profits from their primary use to find sustainable economic development?

Social Responsibility
Until not so long ago assumed the patriarchal corporate social responsibility, occupied people with reduced work capacity and assuming the full cost of these jobs. Now, companies that integrate these people, receive state subsidies to compensate their loss of productivity and are entitled to the headlines.

I am not criticizing the fact that companies are using state funds for social integration, as these measures are usually temporary and require, indeed, a social commitment in the long term. What saddens me is that these companies should be brought to bare.

I also wonder about the data tracks by Pascal Vuistiner, deputy editor of Review, to support philanthropy and the "charity business". In Indeed, all pass through a tax exemption or subsidies, nice speech less state.

butter, butter and money ... charity
Businesses and wealthy individuals have they really need incentives like tax cuts, visibility in the media to assume their social responsibility?
state of grace, saves Swissair, UBS saves and saves Charity! True, pure, of course!
